An unusual gathering of birds.
The majority of these birds are Great Egrets and White
Pelicans (Most of the pelicans are actively feeding so it is
difficult to see their heads). There are also Snowy Egrets,
young Herring Gulls, along with a couple of other gull
species. Within an hour all the birds had dispersed. I have
birded this paricular area for over ten years and only once
witnessed such a gathering.
